Light trails

Night photography and playing with light effects in the dark is still one of my favourites. I took this at the small fair in the Salisbury Market. I must admit it wasn't as impressive as the fair in Aberystwyth but people seem to be having fun.

Used: Giottos tripod (always needed at night), Nikon D40, kit lens (same old same old), long exposure - I guess something like 3 sec to get the light effect. Not much processing, maybe just a bit increased the contrast and saturation  as they were shot in raw format.

Now that my birthday is coming I'm definitely investing in a 50 mm f1.8 that will let more light in and will let me experiment more with other types of photography.
